From classroom assistants, technicians, and librarians who work directly with teachers, to professionals in admissions, finance, human resources, maintenance, secretarial support, reprographics, and security, every member of the St Christopher’s community contributes to creating a thriving learning environment.
Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
St Christopher’s operates under the leadership of its Principal, supported by three Headteachers who oversee the Infant, Junior, and Senior sections of the School. Joining them are the Director of Learning and the Director of Finance & Operations, forming the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

The ELT meets regularly to ensure a seamless educational experience underpinned by shared values and consistent practices. As a forward-thinking group, the ELT is responsible for developing strategies, policies, and initiatives dedicated to ensuring that St Chris continues its restless drive for excellence in all that it does.

Prior to joining St Chris, Simon was Principal of Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar, one of Malaysia’s premier international boarding schools. St Christopher’s is his third leadership role, a er Copenhagen International School and KTJ. Whilst at KTJ he was Chair of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), the Asian equivalent of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). Simon holds various qualifications including a Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard and a PhD in Mathematics from the University Bristol. Simon began his career in 1993 as a Teacher of Mathematics at Gravesend Grammar School for Boys and has worked in international education since 1999. His career has taken him from the UK to the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Denmark, Malaysia and now Bahrain. |
Lauren Binnington |
Prior to this, Lauren was a member of the Whole School Senior Leadership Team at the British International School, Ho Chi Minh City, where she worked for 13 years. In that time, Lauren held academic, pastoral and co-curricular Middle and Senior Leadership roles, as well as a Regional Leadership role as Nord Anglia Education’s Social Impact Lead for South East Asia and the Middle East. Lauren began her career as a Psychology Teacher in 2006 and recently completed the National Professional Qualification in Headship, and a Master’s in Education from University of Bath. As someone passionate about developing student voice and agency within the realms of sustainability education, she has published research into the impact of sustainability education on young people.; |
Stephen Meharry |
Stephen is a qualified chartered accountant and began his career in practice in the UK before moving to Bahrain in 2018. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has a BA(Hons) in Economics and an MSc in Finance from the University of Liverpool. |
Nat Dickinson |
Nat is the British Schools in the Middle East representative for Bahrain, proudly curating a group of forward-thinking educators across the island to achieve excellence in learning for all. She is passionate about empowering practitioners and presents on the important theme of Women in Leadership, supporting women to achieve further success. Nat is a lifelong learner with a constant desire to study and develop. With a Masters in Educational Leadership, she has recently achieved a Certificate in School Management and Leadership through Harvard Graduate School of Education. Nat is a Level 5 certified Coach, a facilitator delivering the NPQSL qualification and is about to undertake the NPQEL. |
Ian Fellows |
He began his teaching career in the UK in 1992 and has also worked in British international schools in Thailand and Germany. Ian has a BEd degree from Westminster College, Oxford; the National Professional Qualification for Headship and further qualifications in coaching and the Certificate of Management and Leadership from Harvard. |
Sarah Harrison |
She previously held senior school leadership roles at St George’s British International School in Munich and Dulwich College Seoul. Having started her career as a Geography teacher in London, Sarah has worked in a variety of educational contexts in the UK, Sri Lanka, Egypt, El Salvador, South Korea, and Germany. Sarah completed a BSc in Geography at the University of Manchester, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Reading University. She also holds an MA in Education from The Open University and a variety of other certifications, including the Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard and the National Professional Qualification for Headship. Sarah is an active member of the International Coaching Federation and, as a leadership performance coach, she supports educators around the world on the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership. She has extensive experience in leading, facilitating, and guiding candidates through a variety of professional development programs. In addition, Sarah has contributed to the development of a number of schools as a CIS International Accreditation Evaluator. |
