Scholarships
St Christopher’s extensive scholarship programme is an exciting addition to the school. It allows us to recognise the exceptional contributions of talented and exceptional students.
As a not-for-profit school with an enviable reputation internationally, St Christopher’s School is embarking upon an ambitious building programme, so now is an ideal time to become a St Chris Scholar. Full scholarship details including how to apply can be found below and in this handbook.
Scholarship Categories |
---|
There are three different types of scholarships available: academic, sport, and music. The awarding of scholarships will be determined by the School’s Scholarship Committee that consists of three Board members, Principal, and Head of Senior School. The Scholarship Committee ensures transparency and fairness in the awarding of scholarships. Please note that there will be no financial gain for any family that already receives some fee reduction. However, in these cases a student may still be awarded a Scholarship but without any financial gain. |
Scholarship Eligibility |
Scholarships are available to all students, whether currently studying at St Christopher’s or a student elsewhere. Students who currently receive a reduction in their fees are eligible to apply but would receive no further fee reduction. If a student is successful then they would be able to use the term ‘Scholar’ and note this on their applications to universities and colleges if applicable. There are a limited number of financial scholarships available each year, determined by the school’s Finance Sub-Committee and the Scholarship Committee. |
Scholarship Renewal and Maintaining Standards |
Scholarships will be reviewed on an annual basis by the Scholarship Committee with a clear expectation that the student maintains the high standard demonstrated when the scholarship was awarded. |
Scholarship Levels |
Fee reductions will range from 0% to 20% and may also include the waiving of some participation fees such as in music or sport. |
