A New School Year Begins at St Chris

A New School Year Begins at St Chris

St Christopher’s School Bahrain welcomed students back on Sunday, 30 August, marking the start of an exciting new academic year across both campuses – and a historic first day at our new Senior School.

At our Primary School in Saar, the new year began with the familiar excitement of students returning to classrooms, reconnecting with friends and teachers, and welcoming new families joining the St Chris community for the first time.

Across the school, the first day was filled with energy and anticipation as students settled into their new year groups and began another year of learning, discovery and opportunity.

For our Senior students, however, this first day represented an especially significant milestone: the beginning of the very first academic year at the new St Christopher’s Senior School in Al Raffa.

After years of planning, design and construction, students walked through the doors of the new campus for their first official day of school, bringing its classrooms, corridors and shared spaces to life for the first time.

Purpose-built for the next generation of St Chris students, the new Senior School brings together outstanding academic facilities with exceptional spaces for sport, performing arts and activities beyond the classroom. From specialist STEM, Design Technology and digital learning spaces to the 50-metre swimming pool, sports facilities and Performing Arts Centre, the campus has been designed to create opportunities for students across every aspect of school life.

While the surroundings may be new, what connects our two campuses remains unchanged: the people, values and sense of community that define St Chris.

The first day of the 2026–27 academic year therefore marks both a continuation and a new beginning – another year for our Primary School in Saar and the start of an entirely new chapter for generations of Senior students to come.

We are incredibly excited to see what the year ahead brings.

Welcome back, St Chris.
