Charity & Community Service

Charity and service to others is well developed and embedded in school life at St Christopher's. Service opportunities across the school are extensive and students are passionate in their support of these. Response to charity appeals is high and students are encouraged, and well supported, when coming forward with their own initiatives to raise money for worthwhile causes.

St Christopher's School students have made a tremendous impact to the Tha Ton children: building a canteen, library, toilet block, dormitory, gap year accommodation, medical room, and helping to build and decorate Thomas House, a school dedicated to the education of Thai children with special needs.

As well as supporting local charity initiatives, St Christopher's is committed to the ongoing support of the schools that St Chris has built in Nepal through the charity United World Schools.  Additionally, for over 15 years, the Year 12 & 13 Thailand Trip has been a central focus of the school’s community service. Dozens of St Christopher's students volunteer to provide their time and skills to help with building projects and  educate the under-privileged children of the Tha Ton community hill tribes in Northern Thailand.  Alongside this, pre-trip fundraising and additional donations have enabled us to sponsor the education of over 50 students.
