We are delighted that you are interested in St Christopher’s School.  Please take the time to review the following information on our Admissions procedures and requirements.

St Christopher’s School has been offering the very best British-style Education since 1961, for children aged between 3-18 (Nursery to Year 13). St Christopher’s School has been rated outstanding by BSO and BQA for 3 consecutive years. St Christopher’s mission is to provide an Education for a Shared Humanity. Nursery

At St Christopher's Nursery, the pupils learn through a play-based, thematic approach, utilising a range of interesting and creative teaching methods. They have the freedom to explore, investigate, discover, imagine, and to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding through self-chosen activities and adult-led experiences.

We offer two options regarding the length of your child's Nursery Day.

  • Option 1: 'Half Day', 7:50 - 12:15. Termly Nursery Fees of BD1130 per term.
  • Option 2: 'Full Day', 07:50 - 14:25. Termly Nursery Fees of BD1480 per term. 

Included in the cost of our 'Full Day' are SPARTA sessions. These sessions will be led by the SPARTA coaches; all movement between Nursery and the SPARTA activities will be managed by the SPARTA and Nursery Team.

There will be additional Nursery SPARTA options available for children attending for just the 'Half Day'. These sessions run from 12:15 - 13:15, and are available at an additional cost.Further SPARTA information and access to booking is available on the school website. 

If you wish to register your child for the full day attendance, we must have your explicit permission to keep your child on for the full day, for insurance purposes, and we require an acknowledgement from you that you agree for them to attend for the duration of this term. You will be required to complete a Google Form if you wish your child to participate in the full Nursery day.

Admissions applications for Nursery at St Christopher's School are accepted through our online ‘pre-registration’ form, which is to be completed for all applicants.

Pupil Evaluation 

Admission is subject to assessment criteria which vary according to the child’s age. Nursery and Reception children are, where possible, observed on our premises.

Applications from overseas are occasionally assessed using reports and often we will phone the child’s current school.

Year group placement for children in the Infant School is tentative and may be changed, at the sole discretion of the School, if we judge that another year group would be better suited to the child.

We will consider the results of the pupil evaluation, together with information in the application package before coming to a final decision about your child's placement.

Successful Applicant Information

If your child is offered a place you will receive an Offer Pack via email which will include an invoice for the Registration Fee. (This is a once-only fee that is additional to the tuition fees and is non-refundable). To accept the offer you must sign and return the Acceptance Form, with the Registration Fee, by the date specified. Registration Fee(s) are due for EACH child accepted into the School. If you miss the specified deadline, the offer may be withdrawn. After we have received the signed Acceptance Form and Registration Fee, we will raise the invoice for the first set of tuition fees.

Applicants Living in Bahrain

If your child is offered a place and you are already in Bahrain, to accept, you must, by the date specified, sign and return the Acceptance Form and pay the Registration Fee. (This is a once-only fee that is additional to the tuition fees and is non-refundable). Registration Fee(s) are due for EACH child accepted into the School. If you miss the specified deadline, the offer may be withdrawn. After we have received the signed Acceptance Form and Registration Fee, we will raise the invoice for the first set of tuition fees.

Applicants Moving to Bahrain

If your child is offered a place and you have yet to move to Bahrain you will receive an Offer Pack which will include an invoice for the Registration Fee. (This is a once-only fee that is additional to the tuition fees and is non-refundable). To accept the offer you must sign and return the Acceptance Form, with the Registration Fee, by the date specified. Registration Fee(s) are due for EACH child accepted into the School. Pupil Evaluation 

Sixth Form offers are conditional on achieving certain GCSE or other academic grades prior to entry.

If the pupil is not sitting  GCSE courses, or other externally moderated courses that WE consider to be equivalent, then tests will be set, predominantly, but not exclusively, focused on subjects the pupil wishes to take for International Baccalaureate or at A or AS Level.
