About

Ali is a Year 10 student who joined St Chris in Year 7

“I like many things about being in St Chris but one of the biggest things is that in music.”

When I'm doing competitions or anything like that, teachers they don't make it sound like it's a life or death situation which surprisingly is what makes you want to do better but they make it more as
like a learning process and something to enjoy rather than to be worried about and after a performance or a competition or any sort of concert When a teacher asks how did it go, they're not fishing for trophies or rankings or anything like that.

They're trying to understand how you felt, what you learned, how you enjoyed the piece you playing, and what you think you can do better next time. And the other thing I really like is that when I'm competing
against other schools, they don't make it feel as if like it's actual competition.  it just feels like we're sharing knowledge and experiences and what we've built to get to the point that we are with the other competitors.
