Admissions
The St. Christopher's School Admission Team consists of Jo Atkinson, Senior School Admissions (Tel: +973 17 788 116) and Hazel Clarke, Infant and Junior Admissions (Tel: +973 17 788 109), and they are both based at the Junior School site in Saar. Both Jo and Hazel are happy to answer your questions by phone or e-mail, or to arrange a meeting with you to discuss your admissions requirements.   Other fees are payable in individual cases. These include GCSE and 'A' Level examination entry fees, optional Instrumental Tuition, ESL (specifically Infant School children) and optional out-of-hours lessons for certain students. Fees for these and any other individual cases will be notified separately.

School Uniform
PLEASE NOTE that, with the exception of the Sixth Form, uniform should only be purchased from the designated suppliers (see below). This is to ensure uniformity of style and fabric. Many of the items also have the School logo on them. The School should be informed of any problems with the suppliers. All uniform, PE kit and school items must be clearly labelled with the pupil's name and class.
 
  Boys Girls

Nursery

Please note the introduction of Nursery Uniform from September 2007
Nursery uniform is the same as the St Christopher’s PE uniform.

White polo shirt with school logo

Red Shorts with school logo

Shoes - Velcro fastening shoes or training shoes, not open sandals or flip-flops

Socks - short or long, grey or white socks

In the winter months, children can supplement these with a School sweatshirt and navy or dark blue jogging bottoms

   

Infant & Junior School

Blue and white striped short-sleeved shirt with logo and dark grey shorts (shorts should be no longer than just above the knee)

Short or long grey socks

Sensible black polished leather shoes (not open sandals or trainers)

Junior boys should wear ties in the 'winter season' - exact dates to be announced by the school - and for special occasions such as concerts

From 1st December to 31st March each year, boys will be allowed to wear either grey, long-legged trousers or grey shorts

Blue and white striped dress with red trim and logo

Short or long plain white socks, depending on the weather (ankle socks should be worn as such and not tucked into the back of the shoe)

Sensible black or navy blue polished leather shoes with flat heel (not open sandals)

From 1st December to 31st March each year, girls will be allowed to wear white or navy-blue tights


Senior School

White short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirt with logo or blue and white striped short-sleeved shirt with logo

School tie and dark grey trousers

Sensible black polished leather shoes

Black or grey socks

Blue and white striped skirt and white overblouse with red trim and logo

Dark grey trousers may be worn by all year groups(it should be noted that, if girls opt to wear trousers they must also have a skirt for formal occasions) Trousers should be purchased from House of Style or House of Uniform but must be regulation St Christopher's trousers

Skirt lengths - the shortest is to touch the ground when kneeling and mid calf to be the longest

Sensible black or navy polished leather shoes - no heels to be more than 4cms

Short or long white socks, navy opaque tights may be worn in winter (ankle socks should be worn as such and not tucked into the back of the shoe)


Sixth Form Grey trousers, white or mid-blue conventional shirt, sixth form tie and navy sweatshirt with sixth form logo, grey fleece Grey skirt or grey trousers, white or mid-blue shirt or blouse, sixth form tie optional and navy sweatshirt with sixth form logo, grey fleece
     
  The School burgundy sweatshirts may be worn in the winter months by all Infant, Junior and Senior pupils. Please note that, if the weather is really cold, in the Infant and Junior Schools a jacket or coat may be worn in addition to the sweatshirt when outside the school buildings, but it should not be used as a substitute. Jackets or coats may not be worn inside the buildings.

Physical Education

Infant and Junior School pupils are required to have a pair of sports' shoes/trainers, red shorts and white t-shirt with school logo

PE clothing for Senior pupils is available from the Senior School PE office


Drama (Seniors)

We have a Drama Uniform which students are expected to wear during Drama lessons. This consists of a black top and black trousers and can also be purchased from the House of Uniform.


Hair/Hair Ornaments

All students should have conventional hairstyles

Long hair must be neat and tidy, tied back and kept off the face

For Health and Safety reasons the excessive use of wax and gel is not allowed

Hair should not be beaded

Any artificial change in hair colour should have a natural appearance

Hair ornaments should be functional, kept to a minimum and be either in a neutral colour or one that is in keeping with the uniform


Body Adornment

Nail varnish (including toe nails), transfers and tattoos are not permitted

Sixth Form girls may wear light make-up


Jewellery

No jewellery should be worn apart from small, plain metal studs for those who have pierced ears

Multiple earrings are not permitted

Friendship bands etc are not to be worn


Footwear

Boots are not to be worn ie. no footwear should be above the ankle

Pupils must keep their shoes polished

Trainers are only to be worn for PE
