Community Service

At St Christopher’s School, we make a strong commitment, beyond academic excellence, to personal development and responsibility. Charity and Community Service events are part of life here at St Christopher’s School. We are proud of the contribution that pupils make to a wide range of events that are organised at individual, year group and whole school level. Over BD6000 was raised last year alone for our school building project in Cambodia via United World Schools.

At St Christopher’s we believe that this exposure will, for some, act as a catalyst for lifelong support of a particular cause. At St Christopher’s School, we welcome representatives from a range of charities each year to contribute to assemblies and to attend special events. All St Christopher’s pupils, from Nursery to Year 6, have the opportunity to participate in local and international charity events and community service projects and are active in raising funds and collecting donations for a wide range of service projects. Recent projects have included holding a Pyjama Day in order raise funds to purchase fleece blankets and sleeping bags for migrant workers, collecting provisions for a local animal welfare charity, and pupils making traditional crafts to sell in order to raise funds for needy Bahrain families via The Palm Association.
