As a finale to the topics, Under the Sheltering Palm and Our Island Home, and as a well-deserved treat after a term in which much progress was made, Year Two staged Palm Tree Day on Wednesday 31st March. The children rotated around three very different activities: making traditional date palm sweets, making clay date palm models and weaving traditional pal leaf fans – messy fun.
