Year 9 History Trip

Thirty six Yr9 students, along with three members of staff, took an emotional journey through 20th century history visiting Brussels and France during the February half term. We started off in Ypres, Belgium, where the first battles of the Great War were fought and travelled to the impressive Palace and gardens of Versailles, where the post-World War One Peace Treaties were signed in the magnificent Hall of Mirrors. We also wandered around the Medieval town of Bayeux, famous for its Tapestry as well as visiting sites, beaches and towns associated with the D-Day landings of World War II.
