The Year 5 and 6 football trials were held in October. There was a huge turnout of over 110 keen footballers. I was particularly pleased to see over 20 girls taking part. Obviously I was unable to pick everybody that turned out and I have managed to whittle the numbers down to about 34. There is a long season ahead of us with three international competitions and local friendlies. For those children that did not make the squad at this time, there will be an opportunity for you to join the development squad in Term 1 or 2, where you may still be able to get into the team. Well done to everybody that tried out. I was extremely pleased with the effort and sportsmanship that was displayed by all.
