The Year 4 children dressed up as representatives from various city-states in order to celebrate Greek Day. Clothed in all manner of bedroom linen, they ran, jumped and threw their way in our re-enactment of the ancient Olympic Games. This was followed by undertaking a wide range of art and craft activities with an Hellenic flavour. The whole day was wrapped up by a sumptuous Greek feast as the children were entertained by 4A's epic staging of famous Greek myths. All the classes then joined in with some Greek dancing that Zorba himself would have been proud of.
Many thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to decorate the hall, bake moussaka (amongst others) and tidy up! Greek heroes/heroines all of you!
