Thursday afternoon was the turn of Year 2 to show off their sporting skills in the Year 2 Sports Day. As they entered the Sports Hall to gather in their teams and sing their House chants, it was obvious it was going to be an exciting afternoon.
Out on the Tiger Turf, Falcon, Kestrel, Merlin and Osprey fought it out with great determination, scoring as many points as they could manage in the 3 minute time frame for each activity. They scored goals in the football, hockey and basketball; scored points for catching the rugby ball; threw the tennis ball through the holes from a difficult distance; and bowled the bowling ball like true champions to knock down as many skittles as they could manage!
The end of the day finished with the annual parents race while our new swimming teacher calculated the results. They were as follows:
Basketball Dribble and Shoot winners were Falcon; Football Dribble and Shoot winners were Kestrel; Hockey Dribble and Shoot were Merlin, while the winners of the ball throw were Osprey! The results for the much coveted House Cup were:

1st place - Falcon
2nd place - Merlin
3rd place - Kestrel
4th place - Osprey
