On Thursday 17th June, Year 2 pupils took part in a charity fundraising activity to raise money for Dreamflight, a charity that sends terminally ill children on a dream holiday. The inspiration for these activities came from our student councillors. The organisation of the events (bring and buy toy sale, talent competition and discothèque) has been completed by the children, with minimal guidance from the teachers. The activities together resulted in over BD200 for Dreamflight; we are very proud of all our Year 2 students. During the afternoon, Mrs Deborah Beedie of Dreamflight visited the students to see what they were doing and to congratulate them. By her own admission, she was touched by the children’s understanding and altruism.
