Year 2 visited Budaiya Fire Station this week. Whilst there they had an opportunity to look at, and sit in, fire trucks, quiz fire-fighters, try out some equipment and listen to various sirens. All are agreed though, the most fun was being given the opportunity to put our very own fire out, using a genuine fire-fighters’ hose.

We just wish that teachers had remembered that the visit was designed to underpin and extend the children’s learning and not just fulfil their childhood dreams. Thank you to all those mums and dads who joined us and our very special thanks goes to Bahrain Civil Defence Department for hosting us and making our visit such a memorable one.
