On May 12th an ex Head Boy of St Christopher’s visited to talk to Year 12 IB students about his PhD work at Georgia Tech. Below is a review of the visit written by a Year 12 student.

Prabhakar coming to St Chris was one of the greatest educational experiences I've encountered in Year 12. His extreme passion for his career beamed through his words, and I only wish to have the same zeal when talking about Mechanical Engineering. For I plan to study this in University and must say that he inspired me. He started with a description of the University he attends, Georgia Tech, which is one of the Universities I'm applying to. He then gave us a lecture on 'combustion', the field he is most interested in, and this really made me realise how specific a job career can be. I only wish that we had this visit a few months earlier in the year, as I would be able to set my goals earlier, and start working towards them with much more time ahead of me. I'd like to thank Mr. Laxton and Prabhakar himself for the great experience!
