The St Christopher’s U15 Boys emerged victorious in the final, winning 23- 19. It was a very close encounter against Kuwait English School.
In the final of the girl’s football, Dubai College drew with Wellington School. A penalty shoot out followed and Dubai College scored the all important winning goal. St Christopher’s B Team won the Plate Final having saving their best performance ‘til the end of the day.

Saturday’s play saw the girls outside on the Astro playing Netball and the boys playing Volleyball in the Sports Hall. Again the sportsmanship from all teams and their coaches was fantastic - how rewarding it is to see players from all schools showing their appreciation for others when moments of brilliance occur on the playing field.
The netball was a tightly contested affair with the St Christopher’s Girls A Team narrowly losing to Wellington School in their semi final. The St Chris girls went on to clinch 3rd place in the 3/4th play off and emerged as Plate Champions.
The final between both the Dubai teams saw Dubai College as victors – their play throughout the day had been very impressive and they were worthy champions.
Inside the Volleyball was equally exciting and the final between St Christopher’s boys and Al Khobar went to a final deciding set – it was that close! The St Christopher’s boy took the title with a strong finish and was a just reward for all their hard work in training leading up to the competition.

The Senior School PE staff would like to thank all the staff coaches and student helpers who helped make the event run so smoothly. Special thanks to Srini and his men who helped set everything up and worked long hours to make sure that the Sports Hall and Astroturf was ready for Saturday’s play and Sunday’s normal lessons.
A BIG BIG thanks to Mr Aloy and Ebrahim Al Ghallaf who sorted out endless visa issues for the visiting teams – without them, some players would still be stuck on the causeway!
