St Christopher’s Public Speaking Competition

Students at St Christopher’s Senior School showcased their public speaking talents on Sunday 7 March during a Public Speaking Competition inaugurated by Miss Jennifer Herron of the English Department. The nine selected speakers reached the prestigious final after several months of heats, which ensured that the audience, which comprised students, parents, guests and teachers, was treated to a host of vibrant speeches.
All students were asked to present a speech on “What reading means to me”. Popular novels and writers, world literacy, autobiographies, internet and movies were just some of the issues explored throughout the wide range of talks by the Key Stage 3 students, aged from 11 to 14 years old.
