On Thursday 21 June, St Christopher’s Senior School organised a 1960s themed Curriculum Day as one of the final celebratory events of St Christopher's Schools 50th Anniversary. Students and staff dressed up in 1960s style attire to enjoy a day rich with 1960s nostalgia. In the lead-up to the event, a range of Year Group assemblies had set the scene for what proved to be a fun and memorable celebration of the School's 50th Year. Following an opening address by Mr Nick Wilson, Head of Senior School, the specially arranged whole school assembly opened with a sentimental photographic walk down the school’s memory lane, followed by a rousing student Rock Band live performance. Swinging Sixties themed lessons ran throughout the day and the highlight for many was a lunchtime 1960s ‘Bop’ at which students of all years danced their hearts away to the classic sounds of The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones and many more. The day was a further uplifting and fitting way to mark such a significant moment in the school’s rich history.
