After a great season in Bahrain that saw the girls winning the league and cup double they were invited to play in the “Dubai Unity Cup”. This was a platform for the girls to showcase their skills against the best teams from throughout the gulf. The one day tournament saw the girls excel in every area of the pitch. In defence we never conceded a goal and our striker, Rebecca Shorrock, finished the tournaments top goal scorer with a fantastic 7 goals. It was an extremely hot day and with the congested fixture schedule we relied heavily on the great strength and depth of the squad. All these attributes and a great enthusiasm meant that the girls were victorious in all their games and ended up as clear champions.
