Please, not one more joke about how it’s been raining cats and dogs – I have given up counting how many times that has been said to me this last week. It certainly did pour down – at least, that’s how it looked from my warm, dry sofa as I occasionally lifted an eye! I thought the Nursery children might have to swim home. When it stopped I went to the bigger puddles but there didn’t seem to be any fish. Shame.
The week was not just full of rain but also maths! It was Maths Week! Now, regular readers of my blog will know that maths is not my favourite subject and I have had problems in the past but I must congratulate Mr Roycroft, Mrs Calder and Mr McInroy for putting together such an enjoyable week. My favourite bit was when I was having my Thursday morning nap and 2 Year 6 children (Ella and Saiqa) woke me up to teach me how to make spirolateral patterns from the times tables. It’s not easy to get me interested in much during nap time but they were so clever I had to listen!
I have also been keeping my eyes on Year 4 who are busy practising for their Keymaster production which is on during the first week of February. It’s looking good although some of the teachers appear to have steam coming out of their ears. They need to relax more and have more naps.
I am also looking forward to the Year 1 Fort visit. I love the fort – purrfect for jumping around and finding sunny areas to lie down in. Better go now – I’m missing my sofa,
