The St Christopher’s Music Festival is an annual event which takes place in both the Isa Town and Saar Schools. It is a competitive Music Festival open to anybody of Grade 6 standard or under (ABRSM, Trinity or any other recognised examining board) who lives in Bahrain.

The idea of the festival is to give students an opportunity to perform in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Everybody who participates is given a certificate of participation and the class winners are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals. The gold medal winners are also invited to participate in the finals at the end of the week.

The festival is a very popular event across Bahrain and is well attended by many children from a wide range of schools. It attracts students with skills ranging from complete beginner to accomplished grade 6 players.

The finals are adjudicated by musicians from outside the island whilst the heats make use of more local musicians.
