Monday
Breakfast at 8.00am, which was as excellent as ever, and a prompt departure at 8.45 by coach for Eurodisney, which was a quick trip of 40 minutes. There were loud cheers as we passed through the gates to the car park of Disney land in brilliant sunshine as you may expect. Base camp was established at the Market House cafe and the students dispersed in small groups to explore the rides. Two staff remained on permanent call in the cafe (a strenuous task!) while two circulated, changing each hour. Students reported in more regularly than asked and there was a steady repartee throughout the day. Mr Roycroft and I were cajoled in to going on the Peter Pan ride with the girls and on Space Mountain with the boys. Still slightly dizzy from the experience but one has to maintain a certain reputation, naturally. The students were quite astute in their present buying and the laughter echoed throughout the journey home for dinner at 7.30pm. Journals were completed before bed.
Tomorrow will see a visit to Montmartre, lunch in Le Marais, a tour of L'Opera and a late evening cruise on the Seine as sun sets. It is a hard life..............
All the children are well and increasing in confidence as the jet lag fully recedes and as they become more familiar with the surroundings. New friends have been made and the camaraderie is uplifting.
Signing off for this evening...
Bonne nuit..
