Mi...ummph...ao...gulp...ow,

Mi...ummph...ao...gulp...ow,

Sorry about that, I'm still chewing on a piece of rather scrumptious chocolate cake from the U11 Football Squad dinner at the Dilmun Club. It was fantastic to chat to the players about their season and all their triumphs. Of course, it would have been even better if the cake had been tuna flavour but you can't have everything.

It does seem to have been a busy week. I was doing my rounds on Wednesday when I saw lots of princes and princesses around school. No-one told me that here was royalty coming to school! I was about to complain when Mrs Brandreth explained that it was the Year 1 children dressed up, not real royalty. Personally, I think I would look good in a crown. Susie could have a tiara!

The school has been full of beautiful singing this week as the Year 3 and Year 4 children performed their Sing-along to parents. It was fantastic! I sat outside the hall on the stage and listened to them and it sounded purr-fect!

Now cats don't normally like water but I did think I better cast my eye over the St Chris Open Swimming Championships at the weekend. I wouldn’t normally go to such wet events as I like to keep my fur dry but I saw that there was a butterfly race. I like chasing butterflies so I thought I would go and join in. Well, I was disappointed. Apparently it doesn't involve real butterflies. It's a type of swimming stroke. Honestly, you humans! Why do you call things such silly names!? I was glad I went though, because I was amazed how fast some of you humans can swim. That's because you don't have fur like me. Fur creates drag in the water - a Year 6 child told me that.

I also managed to buy a new book last week from Debi Evans. She wrote the book as well and came in to school so the little humans could meet her. Well, she probably wanted to meet me really. The book is all about dragons. It's very good but I do think we need more books about cats. If any of you have written a story about cats, I'd love to read it.

Right, must go as I need to supervise the setting up for Aladdin! It's looking great, although Miss Rowland keeps leaving wet paint by the stage and I keep walking in it. I have purple paws now!
