“Mama Miaow…here I go again”…Oh sorry, you caught me practising for the inter-house Singstar competition that Miss Lambert announced in the House Assembly on Thursday. Although I am not in a House, I do like to take part in as many events as possible. My favourite has to be the Spot the Missing Bird competition – no bird is safe on my watch..hee, hee! Many congratulations to all those children who have been made House Captains this year. It has been another very busy week. I was nearly run over by all the parents rushing to Reception’s Literacy afternoon. I must say that I am impressed by the parents desire to attend literacy lessons as well as their children. I would have gone myself but on the way I walked through a patch of sunlight and…well, you just have to curl up and go to sleep when that happens. And yet more parents turned up for the Meet the Teacher afternoons for years 3 – 6. A very impressive turnout, Mums and Dads! Of course, I am hoping to host a Meet the Cat afternoon when I will be showing pictures of my favourite tuna dishes and inviting parents to tickle me under the chin. Right, I better go and practise creeping up on those House mascots. I’ll catch them one of these days. Miaow for now.
