Les Miaows! Just got in from a night at the theatre – I’m talking about Les Misérables of course. Wow – what a show! When I got my ticket I really didn’t know what to expect – a show about feeling miserable? Doesn’t sound much fun – I thought it might be about the time when I ran out of tuna – I certainly felt miserable then! But no – it was a show by the Senior School students set in France years ago and it was absolutely brilliant! I’m not a cat who shows much emotion but I had to wipe tears away with my paws. I do hope some of you got to see it. Of course, Mr Thomas and Mr Haggarty who directed the show had come to me for advice beforehand but, even so, it still astonished me.
In fact, there are lots of things going on at the moment. I loved the Nursery children singing their festive songs. The singing puddings were hilarious! I always like a good pudding. But it’s not just singing going on at the school – I really enjoyed the sports days fort the Years 3 to 6 children. Obviously it all looked like a lot of hard work and I preferred to watch from a sunny spot while having a quick doze between events! It was a great effort from all the children and I must admit that after the children had gone home, I did sneak a quick go on the obstacle race. But I fell asleep in the tunnel!
To round off the week we had a gymnastics display from some very bouncy, flexible children. You are just like me – always land on your feet! Miss Lambert has done a great job training you all and I have now booked her to help me climb trees, walk on tops of walls and jump on comfy sofas from great heights.
Time for me to go – just to quickly add that I have enjoyed the food that the teachers have been bringing into the staffroom this week – very nice of them! I love this time of year…more please!
