Kalimiaow!
This is how Greek cats say hello apparently! I learnt that at the Year 4 Greek day. Once again, I turned up with my plate and fork but, just like last year, no-one had thought to bring in any tuna moussaka or tuna vine leaves! Mind you, I did like joining in with the Zorba dance. Maybe, I could go to Greece for my holiday. I could stay in Cathens......!
It all seems very busy but I'm glad I took time to visit the Year 6/7 Prize Afternoon. I seem to have been overlooked again, I notice. Surely, someone should have given me a certificate - 'Best Snoozer' maybe? Or 'Most Likely to be Tripped Over' Award?
There are a lot of shows on at the moment. I loved the Nursery, 'Rumble in the Jungle'. Those costumes were fantastic. At one point, I hid under my chair - I thought the crocodiles were real! And the Year 2 did a show too - 'A Suitably Happy Ending'. It was fantastic - gruesome witches and ghoulish goblins. But they all ended up friends in the end. I was confused by one thing an that was the title of the show. As far as I am concerned, a happy ending is one that involves tuna. I didn't see any tuna in this show. Maybe next year, Mr Evans?
And then there was the dance assembly! What a show Miss Lambert put together! I like to think that I have rhythm and I worked with Mr Stephenson to train those (rather musically challenged!) teachers to do a line dance. Honestly, talk about hard work. they don't listen, they can't manage their distractions and, as for, persevering...well, don't get me started.
Susie and I watched the England match....less said the better. Unless you're German. Oh well, at least we've got the cricket!
Miaow for now!
