During the last week of November, to support our study of colour and to promote healthy eating, all Reception classes visited Jawad Dome Supermarket. Clutching their shopping lists and money, children all selected, weighed and paid for some fruit and other ingredients to make a fruit smoothie. Whilst there, we all went on a Sound Search, to consolidate the letter sounds learned so far. Back at school, we chose and chopped, whisked and whizzed, poured and slurped. For the most part, the smoothies were devoured with relish; a perfect end to an exciting visit.
