Personal and Social development is at the core of all practice in Reception.

It is important that the children develop a positive attitude to learning and that they are encouraged to try new experiences.

The children receive lots of praise when they are witnessed doing the following things:

• turn taking
• listening to others
• sharing fairly
• taking care of the learning environment
• working with a partner
• working as a group
• working as part of a community/class
