We aim to cover important aspects of mathematical understanding and provide the foundation of numeracy. We use practical activities and focus on using and understanding language in the development of simple mathematical ideas:

• COMPARING MEASURES
• PATTERN

The children also learn number rhymes, songs and poems. They complete number jigsaws, play simple number games, post and match shapes, build and print with shapes. They explore capacity through sand and water pay, length and height through building for example through lego bricks and time within the routine of the nursery day.
