Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have all been learning through gymnastic activities. Reception have been learning to perform pencil rolls with straight bodies and how to forward roll with curled up bodies. They can now hold imaginative shapes for 3 seconds and use apparatus safely!
Year 1 and Year 2 have been refining their skills from their previous knowledge and have been linking movements together to perform small, imaginative sequences.
As “inspectors”, each year group have proven that they can acknowledge good performances and are helpful to their peers when deciding if they have pointed fingers and pointed toes. They know the importance of shape and can perform jumps, rolls and balances with increasing body tension.
Well done Infants! Keep up the good work!
