I hope you all like the picture of me with one of my birthday prezzies – they were all perrrrrrrrfectly lovely, thank you!

Did any of you meet Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell last week?! I managed to get my copy of ‘Hugo Pepper’ signed and Chris did a great drawing in it for me too. I am hoping to feature in their next book, so look out for me!

I’ve been down by the Nature Trail today with the Year 2 boys, it’s great down there. I really like those boys, what fun they have at playtime! I’ve decided to join in ‘Big Writing’ with them. My powerful brain has come up with something to write that I know they will like. I'll write about the debate over Tyrannosaurs. Were they fearsome predators or disgusting scavengers?

I managed to fit in a quick game of footie with the Year 5 boys – none of them can keep up though, I am far too quick and nimble. Cricket is more of my game, I prefer the pace and there is always an opportunity for a bit of a nap and cake at tea time. I must join Mr V for a quick game when he has his club on Thursday.
Someone upstairs has said I have to do an audit of the birds landing on my property. Counting is not my strong point, a bit tricky. You have to use numbers, like ‘eleventeen’ and when all the birds land at once it just looks a lot – how are you meant to count them?! Cats and maths don’t get along, I should be excused from this (no-one tell the human in charge of maths) I'm learning real skills that I can apply throughout the rest of my life ... daydreaming and snoozling. I did enjoy World Maths Day last week though – it was great fun building shape sculptures – a bit tricky to hold the shape together and grab the cellotape at the same time...and then of course disaster if the tape gets stuck to fur – ouchy!
