How is a cat supposed to sleep? I've hardly been able to get a decent day's kip all week but more of that later.

First of all, I must tell you about some visitors I have had. As some of you may know, I do enjoy making new friends both here in Bahrain but also further afield. In fact, I do have a Paw-Pal called Luigi who lives in Stoke in England. We have been sharing letters for some time now - talking about tuna, sleep, tuna, tuna, sleep and tuna. We get on so well that I invited Luigi to visit. Unfortunately, Luigi had a prior appointment at the Staffordshire Mouse-Catching Conference but he did send his owners, Paul and Sharon Ginnis, instead. They were lovely and they even seemed to enjoy talking to the little humans while they were here. Hopefully, they'll bring Luigi next time.

I saw some of you at the Rock and Pop festival at the Rugby Club over the weekend, what a shame the horrid weather meant it had to be postponed until next Saturday! I do like a bit of rock! Personally I like some of the older stuff such as Cat Stevens but I am quite fond of The Pussycat Dolls. Let’s hope Mr Wilson sings those high notes next week, at least he will have had more time to rehearse!

But, back to my lack of sleep! Every afternoon when I usually settle down to my late afternoon snooze (not to be confused with my early afternoon nap or my evening doze) there has been an awful hammering coming from school. Well, I had to investigate and I found Miss Rowland stapling hundreds of pictures up onto boards. At first, I was a bit upset that she had done this during my sleep time but then I saw the pictures! Wow! They are brilliant - apparently Miss Rowland and her band of human helpers were setting up the Junior School Art Exhibition. I like to think of myself as a cultured cat and I do like a bit of art - Clawed Monet is my favourite!

I was obviously given a VIP preview tour by Miss Rowland and I was very impressed. However, I couldn't help notice that there were no pictures of me! Hey, c'mon!! Surely there should be some pictures of everyone's favourite cat?? Susie, who came round the exhibition with me (she's got a new collar by the way - very nice!), had a great idea though - everyone who draws/paints/ sketches a picture of me and puts it in the Tom's Art box at Reception will get 5 Housepoints! - make sure you get the house point slip when you hand it in - the box will be in the reception area. Susie and I will look at them all and give a bonus 5 housepoints for the best ones!
So long for now - I look forward to seeing your pictures - don't forget to put your name, class and house on the back!
