Art Exhibition

On Tuesday 31 May 2011, the 19th annual St Christopher's School GCSE, AS and A Level Art Exhibition was formally opened by His Excellency, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Jamie Bowden, following a private viewing with the Principal, Mr Ed Goodwin, the Head Teacher, Mr Nick Wilson and the Head of Art, Ms Paula Carr. The Exhibition celebrates the work of these highly talented artists and is the culmination of two years of hard work and endeavour. This year's GCSE students tackled the topic of Similarities or Differences, the AS Level artists considered Mystery and Imagination, while the A Level participants focussed on Explorations and Discovery. In his address, Mr Nick Wilson congratulated all the students and staff, Ms Carr, Ms Clare Hunt, Mr Joe Mulleague and Art Technician, Mrs Nadia Shaheen who had developed and nurtured the innovation and drive in the students throughout the two year course. MrBowden noted that this was the fourth occasion on which he had been invited to open the Exhibition and was as delighted as ever by the wonderful display of creativity.
