The Arabic Department at the Junior School held its third “Arabic Heritage Day” on June 14th. Several activities took place in this fabulous day such as henna, pottery, Arabic perfumes, basket weaving, Arabic falconry, Arabic calligraphy, gypsum and many others.
Everyone enjoyed going around the stalls and discovering the features of the Arabic culture, such as writing names in the Arabic style, taking photos with the falcon, learning how to make the Arabic perfumes, painting henna, weaving bracelets and rings and tasting the Arabic and Bahraini food donated generously by parents.
We would like to express our special thanks to Mr and Mrs Al Sugheir for their continuous remarkable contributions. We also would like to thank Mrs Jowder, Mrs Hajji, Mrs Haleem, Mrs Fayyad, Mrs Sai, Mrs Raheemi and Mrs Naseef for their participation to make the day a successful event.
