And up, 1, 2, 3, 4 and down,1, 2 3, 4…phew! These aerobics every morning have been tiring. Someone should tell Miss Lambert, Mrs Etches and Miss Dracup that cats wake up slowly. Really slowly! As in not until the afternoon.
Health and Fitness week was a great success and I now feel sleek and trim so those House mascot birds better watch out! I really enjoyed Mrs Lee’s cookery demo and yet something seemed to be missing. Now, what could it have been? Ah, yes. Tuna! That most versatile of ingredients. You can have: tuna with a tuna side dish, tuna pasta (pasta is optional) or my favourite, tuna surprise (the surprise is that it’s just tuna).
It was very amusing to see the teachers doing a taste test in the special assembly – I had been asked to take part but they were only tasting fruit and, while you humans should eat lots of it, I do find that cats and fruit don’t really go together.
Of course, the fitness bug isn’t over yet. This week I am looking forward to the swim galas for the Junior humans. I’ve dug my rubber ring out and I am on standby if I am needed to take part. Normally I don’t like water but Mr Holness has assured me that he will be putting some real fish in the pool this year. Although, he might have been kidding…I am also in training for the Marathon Relay which is on Friday. I am a member of the School Cats team and, instead of running for 4 hours, we are planning on a marathon sleep (my personal record is sleeping for 13 hours without moving). So far, training is going very well.
Have a great week!
