Miaow….do you know what it is yet?

Miaow….do you know what it is yet? Hee, hee…just brushing up on my art skills for Monday’s great Art Day – ‘brushing up’ - get it???? I’m really looking forward to it. A whole day of doing art – how fabulous is that? I have asked Miss Rowland and Mrs Lue if I can do a portrait of a tuna fish. And after painting it, I can eat it. That’s my kind of art.

Talking of fish, I really enjoyed playing with Mr Fish and all the nursery children at the Dilmun Splash Day. As regular readers of my blog will know, I don’t like getting my glossy fur wet but, Mr Fish has made me my own special wetsuit (it even covers my tail) so I can splash around without getting wet at all. Swimming was great fun but so was lunch! Chicken nuggets…lovely. I wanted fish fingers of course but Mr Fish misunderstood me and thought I was trying to eat him!

Rehearsals for this year’s big Year 5 and 6 show have started. This year I have decided to take a more hands-on approach and will be treading (pawing?) the boards myself. This will not be my first theatrical performance – some of you might remember my appearance in the legendary Whiskas TV campaign of 2008 (I played 3rd hungry cat on the left). Anyway, my basketball skills are coming on under the firm tutelage of Miss Lambert. Although Miss Dracup was a bit dismissive of my singing – “Sounds like a cat wailing”, she said! Well, yes it does! I’m also having terrible trouble holding the pompoms in the cheerleading scene! Still, it will be all right on the night!
